After another English breakfast, day 2 of Flash on the beach started. A bit tired from the previous 2 I kicked off the day with “Flex and ActionScript 3 Worst Practices” from Ted Patrick. Nothing really new, but a nice enumeration of some good and bad practices.

Next speaker I saw was Craig Swann with his session about “Perceptive Interactions + Alternative Interfaces”. This was one of the sessions I learned nothing but liked the most. Just let you get inspired. Nice stuff to start playing with.

A coffee later I was one of the many that wanted to see Mario Klingemann with his session “2D or not 2D that is the question”. The auditorium was swamped! There were people that wanted to see this session so badly they where willing to sit on the floor. The session was new and buggy, but I had a good time with a few nice tricks he used in a photoshope-like app.

After Mario Klingemann, Carlos Ulloa came and give a session about next gen sites with papervision 3D. He is making some great stuff, and showed it also :-p. Too bad he is not that good of a speaker.

Stephen Downs (Tink), gave the next session about flashing Flex. An interesting topic, but a bit dull for a whole session like this I think.

The next session was “Breaking away” from Robert Hodgin and just mindblowing! He makes me want to pick up my math-books again and study all the hard stuff to be able to makes what he makes… Just amazing…
He showed us a visualization he maked on a song and the whole dome went quiet… It really had an emotional touch to it… (I can go on and on about how good I think this was…)

Time for diner, a shower and then, back to the dome for Erik Natzke with his session “The art of playing”. His artwork is really beatiful and I would like to pick up some of those techniques but too bad he must present after the best session of the day.

Before everybody called it a night, Adobe gave a party for everyone at Flash on the beach. I skipped it to work on my school-projects for this week…
